In the meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Football Association held on 24th December, 2017 the decision for the selection trial of Santosh Trophy Football competition and Under-17 VC Roy Football Trophy to be held in Noida next year was taken. HPFA held the meeting here in a private hotel on Sunday, under the chairmanship of General Secretary, Deepak Sharma and several important issues were discussed. This information was given by HPFA Media Co-ordinator Satyadev Sharma. He said that the meeting was discussed about the setting up of the Himachal team coaching camp in Una after the state-level football competition held in Kangra. Apart from this, the players who could not participate in this competition for any reason in this competition agreed on 27 and 28 December for organizing a selection trial at the Indira ground in Una. Sharma said that for this the football coach Chandra Mohan Sharma and Deepak Sharma from Solan have been appointed. In the meeting, the selection trial for Under-17 VC Roy football competition was agreed on December 29 at the Indira Ground in Una. Nagendra Gangwar and Amit Bhandari have been appointed as coaches for this. Mr Sharma said that after the selection trial, all members agreed after applying for coaching camps since 2018. Sharma said that players of U-21 football competition organized in Kullu can also participate in the trial for Santosh Trophy.
