28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship Begins in Himachal Pradesh

An exhilarating start to the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship at Anu Ground, Hamirpur! Shri Sunil Sharma (Bittu), Chief of Himachal Pradesh Football Association, congratulates all the players on this historic moment. Himachal Pradesh, with collaborative efforts from the state government and the football association, hosts its first-ever national-level championship for women—a milestone for the empowerment of women through football.

In Group F, five teams, including Himachal Pradesh, Railways, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Andaman & Nicobar, are competing fiercely. The competition, running from November 21 to November 30, promises exciting matchups.

In the opening clash, Maharashtra dominated Andaman & Nicobar with an impressive 25-0 victory. Vaishnavi and Sharvari showcased exceptional skills, each scoring three goals.

In the second match, Bihar secured a 6-0 win against Himachal Pradesh. Sabra Khatoon and Manisha Kumari stood out, contributing two goals each to Bihar’s stellar performance.

On this occasion, Shri Sunil Sharma (Bittu), along with other dignitaries, graced the event and extended blessings to all the players. The Himachal Pradesh Football Association extends its blessings to all the participating teams and players.
