Himachal Pradesh Football Association celebrated the AFC international women’s Football day on 8th March, 2018 at Khad Football stadium Una, H.P. Our chief guest was one of our famous personalities Smt. Sarveen Choudhary Hon’ble Urban Development minister of H.P. The day’s program started off by the motivational speech on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana” by the chief guest.
. After the beautiful speech by the chief guest a women football match among 12 teams, each consisting of 8 players, was organized.
. Other activities, fun games, quiz competition were conducted.
. 10 Grassroots leader, 5 coaches, 5 referees, Officials of HPFA were part of the organizing team.
. A cultural programme was organized by local orchestra band 7 Chords performed during the event at venue.
.Refreshments were served to all participants.
At last the celebration was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where the Hon’ble chief guest gave away prizes to the players who performed exceptionally well in football. The purpose of celebrating the women’s football day is not just to observe the day but also to create awareness amongst the girls, women and societies towards the women participation in sports.
The program was a great success with the participation of the schools, Colleges, wives of government officers, Professionals and Bussinessmen administration, NGO’s members and other.
