The first ever State Football league for Women’s in Himachal Pradesh had a great start to the 2nd day when Techtro Swades United FC defeated Northern Football Academy in a thrilling contest by 3-0.

The match got off to an explosive start when Techtro Swades United drew the firstĀ scoreĀ in the first minute itself. In successive flurry of attacks, Sangam Rawat created space for herself inside the box from the left and her screamer safely settled into the net despite valiant efforts from the NFA custodian.

After suffering the initial setback Northern Football Academy tried to equalize with a flurry of attacks onto the TSUFC half but they fell for a double setback when TSUFC striker Anjali latched on to a long ball from counter attack and calmly finished it through the legs of NFA custodian.

The NFA forwards and the midfielders tried to collect themselves but were thwarted by a solid backline of TSUFC led by Sukhveer who ultimately got the player of the match award. The final nail in the coffin was put by Neha Mann, the captain of TSUFC who slotted home the 3rd goal and the final winner for TSUFC with a deft chip over the goalkeeper.

The match ended with a 3-0 scoreline. However NFA did put up a valiant fight which didn’t reflect in the scoreline at the final whistle. With this successive win in a space of couple of days, TSUFC soars to the top of the table, with 6 points in 2 matches. In the other match of the day YFC Khad, the home team will be clashing against Manas FC.

The second match of the day Youth Girls Football Club, Khad produced an inspiring second half performance and blanked Manas FC 5-0.

The first half of the match was evenly balanced and both the teams fought tooth to nail to open their goal account in the league. Youth Girls Football Club, Khad although dominated the first half , was thwarted by the defense line of Manas who were quite resilient in the first half. The yongsters of Manas tried to initiate rare counter attacks but lacked precision in the final third.

The deadlock was broken by an own goal conceded by Manas FC defenders as they went for a goalline clearance which instead deflected off the back of Manas FC custodian and settled into the net. That goal acted as an opener to floodgate which saw 4 successive more goals being scored. Neha forced the defense line into multiple mistakes and slotted home the 2nd goal for Youth Girls Football Club, Khad amidst utter mess inside the Youth Girls Football Club, Khad defense.
Riya added salt to the wound when she fired in a volley to make it 3-0 with half an hour to follow.
