The Indian Senior National Team reached Bishkek today (March 25, 2018) for the final encounter in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 qualification round.
India, who are placed at the top of Group E with 13 points from 5 matches will face the hosts Kyrgyz Republic at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek on March 27, 2018.
The home leg was swept away by the Men in Blue, courtesy the sublime strike by none other than skipper Sunil Chhetri in the second half.
Incidentally, he is not eligible for this tie because of his two yellow cards in the process.
India and the Kyrgyz Republic have already secured their berths in the AFC Asian Cup next year but coach Stephen Constantine is expecting nothing less than a tough fight from the Central Asian outfit at their favourable home condition.
“They are a very good side. They have good quality all over the field but so do we. They also have the home advantage this time around. We will have to be very careful to maintain our focus and try to get the three points”, coach Constantine said.
The final match of Group E is scheduled at 07:30 PM IST.
